Important Notice
Please check the start time of your walk.   The time will change in April but watch out for those evening walks

Ickworth Park.   Alan, the leader, has arranged with the National Trust that non-NT members pay £1 entry fee (normally £3.80).   As the retaurant will be closed at this time, walkers who want fefreshments after the walk should bring a picnic lunch.

London Outer Orbital Walk
This is a 10 mile walk from Cockfosters to Enfield Lock.   The coach will depart from Sudbury, Suffolk Bus Station at 08.30 am and leave Enfield Lock around 4.30 pm.   Please send an SAE to:  The Programme Organiser, Sudbury & District Group RA, 15, Laurel Drive, Long Melford, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 9ER, for a booking form.

Norfolk Walk
This trip offers the choice of an 8 mile or 10 mile walk starting either at Mundesley or Cromer.   The coach will leave from Sudbury, Suffolk, Bus Station at 08.00 am and return from Cromer around 5.30 pm.   Again an SAE to the Programme Organiser for a booking form

Bus Ramble 22nd August
We will take the 09.50am Chambers bus No.84 to Nayland and walk to Bures where we will pick uo Chambers No753 back to Sudbury at 12.45pm or 1.45pm.   The trains leave Bures at around the same time.

Parking at Village Halls or Community Centres.   It is difficult to find suitable parking places for a walk. Many village halls are now asking for a donation of up to £1 for the use of their parking facilties.   Members should also be aware that at most public car parks a fee is now payable.

Transport  Anyone requiring transport for any walk, should contact Margaret or David on 01787 880875 at least three days before the walk.   This service is for RA members only.

Footpath Problems  Any footpath problems encountered by walks leaders or members of the public should be reported to our Footpath Secretary, Margaret King, on 01787 280996.


Change of Venue

Please note that the venue for the Suffolk Area AGM has now been moved to The Village Hall at Assington near Sudbury  Map Ref:TL934376
 The speaker will be Tom Franklin, the RA Chief Executive.   We ask that as many walkers as possible attend.   Tea, coffee & biscuits will be served from 09.45am to 10.30am and at lunch time.   Please bring a packed lunch.
There is a pub in the village for but this may not be able to cope with any large demand for lunches.
 A 5 mile walk starting around 1.30pm in the Assington area will follow .
